You may remember that at the close of the
Nie Auction I wrote about another auction I wanted to do. I was going to do this last week but I am trying to do it on a combined auction site since I don't have that many readers! A woman at my church told about a friend of her's, Carol, when she was teaching a Sunday School lesson. I was struck by the magnitude of what this family was going through.
Carol Decker is a mom who had a streptococcal pneumonia infection when she was pregnant. After a c-section surgery, Carol had both legs amputated below the knee and also her left hand. Because of her medication she is blind. This is her second daughter and her baby is only 3-months old. The
Decker's will pay around $80,000 for rehab that is not covered by insurance. More info
here. If you would like to bid on some of my prints, the auction will be on my site or on the site of another auction at the end of this week. I will let you know where and when! This is a great was to help and get a little something too. Thanks for your help.
